The Show Commercial Ad

A few months after transitioning from the Creative Team to the Digital Team at Agua Caliente Casinos, I began producing video content for social media advertising. As my skills and creative voice grew more confident in this space, my director entrusted me with a new challenge: creating television commercial ads.

My first opportunity came with The Show’s entertainment lineup. Originally intended as a social media campaign, the project quickly evolved into a 10-second TV spot featuring four upcoming acts—a tight timeframe for so much content. I realized that relying solely on on-screen text wouldn’t be effective. A voiceover was essential.

With little time and limited resources, I got scrappy. I bought an inexpensive microphone, tapped into my old radio production skills, and recorded the voiceover myself. For the first time, I was able to blend two creative passions—design and voice work—into a single project.

The spot was approved and aired on schedule. It marked my official entry into commercial TV advertising—and the start of a more multimedia-forward approach to my design work.

New Years Eve Digital Ads

The annual New Years Eve events hosted across all three properties at Agua Caliente Casinos is a department-wide collaborative project. For 2025, I was tasked with the digital portion of our advertising efforts. I created all eblasts and digital ads, including social media. The themed Midnight of the Muse campaign won a bronze ADDY at the 2025 Coachella Valley ADDY Awards.

PLAY AGUA Social Media Ads

I developed social media ads for our gaming app, PLAY AGUA, focusing on showcasing the app’s diverse game library in a fun and engaging way. The ads were created in 1920×1080 (YouTube) and 1080×1080 (Facebook) formats.

Cascade Lounge Rebrand

Following the successful Cahuilla Ballroom rebranding, I was entrusted with revitalizing another Agua Caliente venue: the Cascade Lounge. My work spanned a range of promotional materials, from posters and lamp post banners to billboards, video promotions, and postcards. A key element of the new Cascade Lounge brand, particularly for its late-night entertainment, Cascade Nights, was a vibrant neon diamond motif. I especially enjoyed incorporating the performing artists into the design, making them appear to emerge from the neon diamond, while the background’s strobe-light effects captured the energetic atmosphere of the live shows.

Radio / Social Media Holiday Campaign

In the winter of 2020, as COVID-19 restrictions limited in-store shopping, I spearheaded a campaign to support local businesses. As a morning show host, I combined radio and social media to highlight these businesses. I interviewed shopkeepers, captured footage, and edited video and audio content using Adobe Rush and Audition. By sharing their stories and promoting their products, we helped to boost local businesses and strengthen community connections.
