Thank you for the great experience, FCA!

My time as administrator and Marketing Director with FCA has come to an end. Through FCA, I was able to establish new systems and flex my marketing background to the fullest. From social media to digital advertising, website design/development to print materials and videography — we even explored getting into podcasting. Because of its non-profit status, I also gained valuable knowledge and experience as a temporary administrator. The enthusiasm and confidence for my skills from FCA’s directors and board members made me feel valued and appreciated. I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with such great people.

If I were to choose my greatest achievement, it would be creating the sponsor newsletter. As is the nature of non-profits, fundraising was a continuous effort that required marketing that appealed to donors and sponsors. The quarterly sponsor newsletter was an eight-page booklet that was mailed out to our donors and consisted of letters from each director, vying for loyal sponsors. My favorite task was rebranding FCA’s soccer club Instagram. I truly enjoyed designing and interacting on social media, and gaining experience in social media management. Likely the hardest part of my job was the administrative side. Making sure our athlete and volunteer registrations were complete and donations were compliant to non-profit regulations was tedious but fulfilling.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to work under FCA and hope to see the Coachella Valley branch continue on its upward trajectory to success and stability.
